There are a few people wondering what has happened to me. Well the Christmas season… and hitting my target weight. I’m a little disappointed that I was unable to continue documenting my 90DayBody journey the entire way through but to be honest, maintaining the journal and updating this site was the hardest part of the entire program. I learned what I need to be eating and how to workout and managed to drop 25 pounds in less than 3 months. I still plan on losing a few more pounds, but intend to do so on a more relaxed pace learning to do things in moderation rather than total consumption.

I got behind in my updates by a few days, than a week, and always felt like I was playing catch-up. It was not enjoyable so I stopped. I didn’t however stop eating well or working out and currrently weigh 161.8 (down 26lbs from my start weight) and am training for the “Around the Bay” 30k race in Hamilton Ontario in March (brrrrr… cold!). Thank you to everyone who stopped by.

10:00am - bowl of protein HoneyNut Clusters (1 scoop of Whey), whole wheat toast with jam.

1:45pm -Chicken wrap with salsa, water

4:00pm - 6 egg whites + 1 yolk, veggies, water

7:15pm - 2 chicken fajitas with salsa, water

1:30am - bed
Day #57 Workout:

5:00pm - weight training: Legs, Back, Biceps, Abs

10:00pm - Hockey

12:00am - 30 mins. on treadmill (watching Ultimate Fighter!)

Day #57 Journal:

A little surprised that I had gained weight after my 10km run but I guess that is how it goes sometime. Today was quite an active fitness day as I hit the gym for my weight training, played hockey for an hour than still did 30 minutes on the treadmill before going to bed. Felt good.

I finally feel like I’m getting my skating legs back. I was terrible the first few times out but I think I’m holding my own now. I play with a great group of guys every Wednesday night at 10pm. This is a great ice time and all the hockey I need at the moment.

A 10k run for me and my running partner…

Day #56 Workout:

8:00pm - 10 km run (with Angus)

Day #56 Journal:

Decided to run outdoors tonight. Angus and I got all suited up in our winter running gear and headed out with the GPS. I really didn’t have a specific route in mind, we just started running. It was quite cold (-8 degrees) and before I realized it we were heading in the direction of our house on Wilmot. It turns out that there is 4.19km between our 2 places. Angus didn’t miss a stride and considering his legs are only 5 inches long, that’s a lot of strides!

We stopped for a 30 second break at Wilmot and Angus thought he was done. He did eventually get going again and didn’t stop until we got home. We took a little detour and arrived home after 10k in just over 1 hour. Pretty good I thought for not being a runner… neither of us.

9:00pm - Lamb in mint sauce, potatoes, asparagus, cold salad, 1 tim tam, 1 lemon square, mulled cider.

Skipped cardio.

.Day #53 Journal:

Started the day in Amherst but returned to Riverview as we were invited to a dinner party. This was going to be a bit of a challenge as there would be all sorts of food, and people I haven’t seen in awhile. Having decided not to drink any alcohol during my 90 day program I knew it would be a bit awkward as everyone else would be drinking.

As it turned out, I had a mug of hot homemade mulled cider when I arrived and then drank water the rest of the night. I don’t think anyone even noticed. The food was fabulous and I managed to eat healthy and not over eat. This was the first party of the Christmas season… so far so good.

Went to Amherst today to visit with my mother-in-law. On our way through town we stopped at the Brick furniture store. We ended up finding a couch and love seat that we liked. I went back at 11:30pm (before the end of the sale at 12 midnight) and closed the deal. We now have new furniture for the basement… now all I need is the big screen TV! :-)
